The Wonkidos are back —and this time, there's more to come.

A little note from the family behind Wonkido.

Almost Twenty Years of Learning Through Play

In 2010, we created the Wonkidos with one simple hope: to help children learn everyday social skills the way they learn best — by watching, playing, and doing. Getting dressed, going potty, making friends, staying safe, speaking up at a restaurant — the Wonkidos turn the little moments of childhood into clear, gentle steps a child can see and copy. I do, we do, you do — Wonkido!

Why we made the Wonkidos

Twenty years ago, children were just beginning to grow up with screens and devices in their hands. We saw an opportunity to teach important social and life skills through the very technology they were drawn to. Today, more than ever, children are growing up in a world where much of their time is spent on screens, leaving fewer opportunities to develop the social and communication skills that come from everyday, face-to-face interactions. The Wonkidos was created to help fill that gap through engaging stories that teach children the value of kindness, empathy, confidence, and positive communication.

Our goal is not only to encourage children to express their feelings and communicate with others, but also to help prepare them for new experiences that may feel uncertain or overwhelming. Whether it's making a new friend, starting school, visiting the doctor, joining a team, or facing an unfamiliar situation, The Wonkidos gives children a chance to see positive social interactions modeled before they experience them themselves. By helping children understand what to expect, we hope to reduce anxiety, build confidence, and equip them with the skills to navigate everyday situations with resilience and compassion.

Above all, we want every child to know that their thoughts, feelings, and voice matter. We hope The Wonkidos empowers children to speak up when they are feeling sad, worried, or confused, ask for help when they need it, and develop the confidence to build meaningful relationships and communicate with kindness throughout their lives.

You asked for more

Over the years, so many of you — parents, teachers, therapists, and even kids — have written to ask us for more: more episodes, more skills, more Wonkidos.

That's finally changing. We now have new skills and tools to allow us to create more fun episodes. It means we can finally say yes to the videos you've been asking for, and keep the Wonkidos learning and growing right alongside your kids.

The best is yet to come. 💛
